Happy New Year!!!

What a busy month! Santa came and went and we had so much fun
during December. The girls each had a wonderful Christmas. Kinsey
even woke up the day after Christmas wondering when he was coming back.

So much fun opening gifts. She could do it all day if there was enough to open.
Avery made a ton of Christmas cookies for the police and fire departmnets in Dalton.

One of their many gifts this holiday season was an easel from
Grandma and Granddad. And they love it!

Of course, the holidays would not be complete without a visit to the man in the red suit.
Hope you and your family had a wonderful christmas and have a great 2009.

October

October was a fun-filled month. The girls had a blast dressing up and showing off. We hope everyone else had a great month. Now it's on to basketball season!

Our beautiful girls. Kinsey wanted to be Snow White and Avery wanted to be a ballerina. Beautiful girls. They had lots of fun at a friends church.

At our church on Wednesday, Avery was a cowgirl and Kinsey wanted to be Cinderella. Again, very silly but very cute. On Friday at CHS, it was Book Character day. Avery chose to dress up as Gigi (God's little princess) She really enjoyed herself. Such a girly-girl.

Is it just me or does anyone else notice that Avery is wearing pink in EVERY costume?

Avery Lee is now 5!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AVERY! Avery was greeted early by her classmates on the day before her birthday. She really enjoyed wearing the birthday hat at school. Her classmates enjoyed the day also becasue they got to eat cupcakes...YUMMY:)

GIDDY-UP GIDDY-UP Let's GO! Avery had a cowgirl Birthday party! We had about 25 people over. She wanted to invite the varstiy girls basketball team and a few of her friends. I think she had a great time and she definitely loved all of her gifts. She has been playing with them all weekend. She is still learning to share, so a few of her toys are on hold for a little while until she learns to share them with Kinsey! This is the outfit below that she wore at the party!

BASKETBALL COWGIRL! I think they had hoops in the wild west..If not Avery thinks they should! She is the highest scoring cowgirl in the land! Great Form!

She really liked her cake that her mom made and it was very tasty!
Kinsey really enjoyed the cake and ice cream! She is just like her dad!

Seth's Birthday Party

Kinsey was invited to a friends 3rd birthday party over the weekend. When we got the invation, it said, wear dirty clothes, and right away we knew this was going to be a fun party. As soon as we arrived, they handed Kinsey a tool belt and a paint brush and said have fun. They had put together a playhouse made out of cardboard boxes that needed to be painted. Well, Kinsey got straight to work. I am not sure if she got more paint on her or the house, but she had fun.

Yes, she really did have paint all over her. Good thing it was washable.
Look at the tiny toolbelt. Precious!
I love this picture because it looks like she is really concentrating on her work. SO CUTE!
She decided to take a break and play.
Here she is with the birthday boy and another friend.

Avery is in K5

This is a big month for us. Avery started school! She is in K5 now! (She only goes until 12 everyday but that's ok becuase I miss her by then). She is really enjoying it. And Kinsey and I get to have some great one-on-one time. Just the other day, we went to the park to meet some frinds of hers. She had lots of fun. She loves posing for pictures.

What a cute face
(but don't let it fool you, she is a handful)

Here is Avery right before she left for the first day. It was spirit day so she could were jeans and a CHS t-shirt. So cute!
In her classroom, and yes she is surronded with boys. There are 4 girls and 8 boys in her class.
On her second day of school. She looks like such a big girl!

These boots were made for walking....

Right now we are between camera's so I don't really have a lot of new pictures to show you. What I can show you is some that Ihave taken over the past month.
Kinsey fell in love with these Ladybug rain boots that used to belong to her sister. They are easy to get on and off and she loves them!
When I say she wears them all of the time, she really does wear them all of the time. Even if they do not match or it's not raining. But I guess you have to pick your battles.

Summer Days

Wow. Summer is officially here and it is so busy. Chad is away at basketball camp in South Carolina and Avery is at a VBS so I have a few minutes to tell you what is going on around here. The girls spent the first two weeks taking swim lessons. Boy was that fun. They both learned a lot. Here is Kinsey sitting and waiting on Avery's class to finish. I don't have any pictures of Kinsey swimming because she had to swim with me and I could not take pictures and be in the class. Chad tried but he is still not used to our new camera, so those pictures did not turn out.Avery had to wear swimming goggles and she loved it. She loves going under the water. She had so much fun.
By the end of the weeks, she could swim the entire pool with only a noodle helping her. That is a big improvment.
Chad's brother, Uncle Chris, gave us tickets to a Braves game, and of course, we had to go. The girls had a wonderful time and we just in awe of it all. Kinsey is trying very hard to take it all in during a Sunday 1:00 game.
Avery loved every second of it. Before we left she was telling us balls and strikes. Yea!

Park and Pool Days

So, school is over and now Chad is home! Yea! That makes us soooo happy. I love the fact that now, he and the girls get to hang out more. More time for fun stuff.
This is one of my most favorite pictures ever.
Chad loves to climb on the stuff at the park. He is so silly.
Kinsy is having fun on the slide.
It's already really warm in Dalton, so we decided it was time for a little pool. The girls
love it!

Avery's Recital Dess-Rehersal

Ok, so Avery has a very big recital coming up on Saturday. The thing is, camera's are not allowed in during the recital. So, during dress rehersal, we took some pictures. Here is the beautiful girl in her cosutme before she begins.
Here she is after getting off of the beam. Look at that beautiful smile.
Doing a backwards roll. (All kids her age needed some help)
After she was done.
She did a lot but these were the best pictures. She had so much fun.
Now, it's saturday afternoon and we have just returned. Avery had so much fun and the rest of us did too. I actually got Chad to go somewhere with me that was not a sporting event, so I am happy.
Kinsey behaved very well and sat still and quite during the entire 1 1/2 recital. Avery's part only lasted 3 minutes or so.
Fun times!

Kinsey Rae

Ok, grandma. I am going to try and do better by adding more blogs to this blog. And more pictures. I promise I will try.
So, the other day, I was baking and Kinsey wanted to help. We put on her little apron and she was oh-so cute. I just had to take some pictures. Then, a few minutes later, the egg she was holding for me, fell to the floor. And I had to make another trip to the store becuse I had just enough eggs to start with. That taught me a lesson. If your going to let Kinsey hold an egg, make sure you have extras first.
She really does love helping mommy - even though sometimes I don't think she is helping that much. I love the apron Nanna and Papa Woodson got her. Just precious. She sure is a silly girl.
Below, we have a little girl who just found out her grandparents are moving to Tampa Florida. I did not put this on her. She put it on all my herself. She has had this dress since March, and this was the first time she decided to put it on. She took a nap in it and wore it to the bank. I think someone is ready for Disney World again.

Spring Break Vacation

Well, we had quite a week. We went to South Carolina to visit family and friends and had a blast. We took a trip to the famous Beacon. Chad has not been there in at least 10 years so it was time for another visit. I had to take a picture of their A-plenty just for my brother Dean, it's his favorite and since he is in Iraq, he can't have one. So I took a picture and sent it to him :) I know thats mean. But really I was thinking of him.

We were also able to vistit with friends and the girls got to eat lots of ice cream. What is a vacation without icecream? Here is a picture of our girls eating with some of their greatest playmates, Hannah Grace and Ethan. They are all very messy but it is a priceless moment.

After having lots of fun in South Carolina, we went to TN for a few days. We got a very nice cabin in the mountains and by the river. It had lots of fun stuff to do. Including a hot tub which we all enjoyed very much. The girls were able to get in during the day when it was like bath water. It was like their own mini swimming pool. They enjoyed it very much. There was also a pool table inside the house which they enjoyed just as much. We did go to town one day to look at the shops and play putt-putt. (And eat more ice-cream). We were going to explore the river the next day but it was raining all day so we did not get to. Overall, we had a great trip.

Aquarium Trip

So we have been living in Dalton for 8 months and we finally went to Tennessee to visit the Aquarium. Everyone had lots of fun. It made for a great rainy Saturday adventure. Good news is we will be going back.

The girls loved looking at the fish, penguins, turtles, sharks, and stingrays. Chad petted a stingray and a shark. Jennifer pet a sturgeon (the worlds largest supplier of caviar). Both girls were a little unsure of the petting part but overall had a wonderful time. Her is a picture of Avery watching the penguins eating and jumping in the water. Here is also a picture of Kinsey in awe of all of the fish. She loved them. Kinsey kept blowing them kisses and telling them goodbye. I added the gators because someone who worked at the Aquarium said they never do that. It was something very rare.

Lots of fun.

Big Days in Dalton

Well. We have had some big days. Kinsey is now in an official big girl bed. No more cribs in our house. And this week, Avery lost her first baby tooth. And a big tooth is already coming up. Wow our girls are growing up fast. Everyone always says that, but right now it feels that way.

Easter Holiday

This is a perfect picture of their relationship. Avery loves Kinsey and always wants to show that. Kinsey loves Avery but does not like hugs or kisses. She is a very sweet girls (sometimes) but Avery is a very loving touchy girl. If you look carefully, Kinsey is only worried about her purple peep I gave her so she would take a picture. She did not want Avery to take it. My guess is that if Avery touched, fist would have been flying.
Now, she may not love hugs and kisses from Avery but she does love to be silly. When we were getting her ready for church, she decided to pose for the camera. Some of you may know this, but this is the dress Avery wore for Dean and Teresas wedding. It looked great on Avery and it looks great on Kinsey. I just can't believe Kinsey is big enough to wear it.
Here are the girls finding eggs at Grandma and Granddads house.
They had lots of fun.
Last Sunday we had an Easter egg hunt at church and the girls both found lots of eggs. They are so cute. If you can't tell by looking at Avery's hair, it was very windy. But we did good to keep them from walking into the lake like some kids did :) Soon they are going to go outside and look for more eggs with their daddy. (How many plastic eggs does one familyreally need?) Happy Easter everyone.
